This is brilliant. I think I say that a lot on this blog, but then again I’m trying to bring you the most brilliantest stuff I find. This is one of them.
This Old Spice commercial is fun, creative and needs to be watched a few times to be absorbed. Since Bruce Campbell of “Evil Dead” fame starred in a few of these a year or two ago where every lady said “Ahoy”, I knew Old Spice was changing their marketing. This spot changes the concept since then and launches it into a little more absurd, but highly entertaining territory.”Two tickets to that thing that you like”, something that every woman wants to hear. Classic.
A commercial for the Dodge Charger debuted during the Super Bowl titled “Man’s Last Stand”. A viral video has been spreading through the internet where women answer. (And boy do they answer.)
I really loved the last Coldplay album “Viva la Vida” because I think it shows them back to form. My favorite song was “Strawberry Swing” because of it’s subtle charms and this over-the-top video is incredible. It gives this song a new direction because I never would have imagined the world they created to surround it.
A great little movie on food waste put together by Whole Foods and Good. It’s fun, simple and little movies like this I feel can have great impact on consumers and our society as a whole.
A friend of mine saw this during the Vikings/Cowboys match up. Apparently if you don’t use FedEx, you might need some luck making sure it gets there. I think this absolutely a true story.
Do I want to use the words “viral” and “health care” together to describe this video, even though it’s accurate? Yes. Providence St. Vincent Medical Center in Portland, Oregon did a dance in pink gloves to help breast cancer awareness. What they also did was show that their hospital staff are caring AND fun and this video is taking off all over the web showcasing them. For a normally conservative industry this is a bolder move, but one that is embracing how other industries are utilizing the internet and showing that health care can be a part of it. Kudos.
Because it’s fun, because it isn’t easy, because you like cheese, because you use fonts, because my friend Andy showed me this, because you can see how well you do, because you’re up for a challenge.
Only once in a life time does something come along and embody the internet and life in general simultaneously. Well it seems to happen every 3-4 days lately, but here is a small song/video that extends the 15-minute fame of the horribly popular “Three Wolf Moon” t-shirt. A garment that got much popularity because of its tasteless and horrible design - which made it an ironic legend. This sweet little song outlines its mystical and magical powers to the one who wears it.
